RandomCrazyNews #2: August-September 2020

RandomCrazyNews #2
8/28/20

The day after the first "RandomCrazyNews" entry was released, we started something called "Song of the Day" on our Instagram page. This is pretty self-explanatory; we'd post one song each day in our story with the same formatting. We've compiled it into a highlight, and at the time of writing this, we've surpassed 70 days. The songs vary heavily in terms of artists and genre, and they are simply songs we like. At first, the songs followed a weekly category, but that was abolished a few weeks later, and now these songs are random. Many are more indie songs or hidden gems from bigger artists that we hope to introduce our fans to. Go follow us on Instagram to stay updated with "Song of the Day" and more news at @randomcrazystudios.

Also in June, we released our first ever live performance on YouTube. It was performed live on Friday, June 26th, and later released to YouTube on June 29th. Setting everything up and recording it all was very fun, and we hope to do it with other movies and skits later. We may have the opportunity to put a show on this December or January, but we are unsure of what to perform. We were thinking "Two Guys, One Island" because it's short and the sets and props are very simple. Though, we loved performing music live and having minimal lines, so we'll see what happens later. For the last day of July, we decided to release the bloopers for our latest released short "Phineas and Ferb: Serum Boyz". The bloopers clocked to be just around fifteen minutes in length, making it our longest blooper compilation yet. Naturally, it would have been "Agent Jett", but many of the bloopers from the second half of the movie were lost after the posting of the first half before the movie was released.

During the time of the release of our "The Interrogation" skit duo and its spiritual successor, there was one more hidden skit released. In mid-July of 2019, we released an old skit entitled "The Neck Pillow", which was deleted accidentally about one week later. The skit was not very good, but it was still something we wished was still up on our YouTube page. In August of this year, though, we made a new skit revolving around the same plot. This plot follows a neck pillow terrorizing two people, thought it was originally just one, in a horror-spoof skit. This was far different, seeing as it was more like the first and third Interrogation skits. It was a one-take, first-person, documentary format from the viewpoint of one of the leading characters. We plan to continue the neck pillow in the future, and hope to have its sequel release sometime in T3 2020.

If anyone doesn't know what "T1", "T2", or "T3" means, they are the way we measure business time periods. Many companies use quarters to represent time periods, (e.g. Q2 or Q3). These quarters generally represent four sections of every three months in a year. For RandomCrazyStudios, on the other hand, we use thirds to measure time. Each third represents four months; T1 means January through April, T2 means May through August, and T3 means September through December. Generally, these are used to measure when we will release our movies on our YouTube channel. Usually, we stick to one movie per third of the year, while sometimes making up for thirds we missed or will missed throughout the year. In 2018, for our first third, we had the official publicizing of "Lucifer", and the release of "Essence" from our "Don't Fear" series. In T2, we made up for our known lack in T3 with two parody short films released almost back to back. In 2019, "Two Guys, One Island" was T1, "The Interrogation" trilogy was T2, and "Agent Jett" was T3. This year, due to the coronavirus, we fell short in "T1", and released our movie, ("Kaboom!"), for that third in early June. "Phineas and Ferb: Serum Boyz" represented T2, and our next topic of discussion covers T3. This is only recent news, because from here on out, we will be aiming to release our full-length movies in these distinct time periods in aim to be more consistent with our content.

Our big T3 movie for 2020 was just revealed recently. The movie will be called "The Legend of the Diehards", and is a spoof on a classic buddy-cop formula. Not much was revealed in the Instagram post, other than the main cast members and the title of the movie. Here, though, is some information that is exclusive to the blog at this time. The trailer for the movie revealing even more will come out next Thursday, on September 3. The movie will also be the longest RCS movie and video on our YouTube account. We are still unsure how long the movie will be as we are still not finished with the editing process, but as of now, it will be longer than "Agent Jett". Finally, this movie will not have a sequel. Here at RandomCrazyStudios, we try to crank out as much original content as possible. Despite this, we have a sequel lined up for "Two Guys, One Island" and a prequel for "Agent Jett" that have barely made it into the planning phase. This new information, my friends, is why you should all read the damn blog. Though, this will all come to Instagram eventually, so follow us there as well.
