RandomCrazyNews #3: October-December 2020 and Our Plans for Next Year

 RandomCrazyNews #3
12/9/20

Not much happened in October and November of this year compared to a crazy month like June, but there were a few notable announcements and events. October 9th marked what we consider our YouTube channel's 3-year anniversary, which also brought with it the anniversary of the company as well. We reflected on this nicely in an Instagram post from the day of. To celebrate this, Owen Barb, Andrew Sadecki, and Kya Barb all participated in an interesting live event. This packed with it an award show for every one of our years active, multiple musical acts, and some guest character appearances. The event spanned about an hour long, and can be found on our IGTV on YouTube. We also began our bloopers trilogy for "The Legend of the Diehards", and as of December 2nd, all are released. These were slightly unique takes on the blooper reels, seeing as we teased the next reel's release date at the end and made it a fun little puzzle. It's pretty doubtful you'll see us do anything like this in the future, because we don't plan to continue making our movies that big, but you can find them at "RandomCrazyStudios" on YouTube. Finally, at the end of November, our partner in movies Barb Kid Films released a music video and a new song "Cravin Turkey" in celebration of Thanksgiving Day. This marks the solo debut of up-and-coming rapper Phat Sunshine, and it can be found on the "@barb_kid_films" IGTV on their Instagram page.

On September 12th, up-and-coming rapper under the RandomCrazyStudios record label DOOF announced his debut EP. It was called "The Lion Cracks a Joke", and was indefinitely set for late 2020. However, the EP is receiving something of a makeover, as it has been renamed and slated for December 30th, 2020. The EP is rumored to be named "Casey" and span four tracks and an interlude, but none of this has been confirmed by the artist. According to DOOF, the cover art is currently done but not final, and he should announce all of this information formally very soon. DOOF is featuring a select bunch of very indie white rappers such as himself, but the features and track list is still indefinite. Thus far, we've received one teaser from the artist himself that can be found on his Instagram at "@dooftheoneandonly". Along with this, DOOF is also set to appear in an upcoming Christmas song that will serve as the successor to Barb Kid Films' "Cravin Turkey". DOOF officially announced he was producing the song with Phat Sunshine rapping, but it's heavily rumored that he will appear on this track as well. December is shaping up to be a pretty eventful month for DOOF where we finally get to hear some original music in his actual style.

In 2020, we in the RCS Movies division had big plans going into this year. Alas, many of these plans and excitements for perhaps a higher amount of and more predictable filming sessions. Though, our first filming session to finish our late December project "Kaboom!" was pushed from March or April to June 2nd. In crunch time, we were able to get the movie out by June 5th successfully, and during this one-month filming session, we also managed to plan and complete "Phineas and Ferb: Serum Boyz". This marked our first parody in over two years, and a very exciting return and attempt to revive what was proven to be a very sub-par style for our short films. "The Legend of the Diehards" fulfilled our slot for T3, and that was it for the year. Some great short films, new ideas, and fresh IPs came out of this year, but two filming sessions for an entire twelve months was far less than ideal. Below is a list of our short film plans for 2021, and in an effort not to spoil or raise too much hype for these, we will keep the descriptions to one sentence per announcement. For our T1 movie, we plan to release a parody currently titled "Project Scooby", which will hopefully be finished filming by the end of our first session in mid-January and posted a little later. For T2, we plan to make another installment in the "Agent Jett" series, but keep in mind, this may not be a sequel, and the film has a working title of "Project [Agent Jett] GBO". For T3, we plan to release an entirely new IP with a working title of "Project Cybercrime"; set to be a unique and darkly comedic take on the "mafia movie" formula.

We hope you enjoyed browsing our movies section, and there is one key major IP you may have noticed missing. On November 8th in our "@randomcrazystudios" Instagram story, we uploaded a photo of some early notes for an upcoming movie with the caption "Consider it teased". This movie was the long-awaited sequel to "Two Guys, One Island", and sadly, we could not have it appear in our 2021 line-up. As much as we don't want to wait almost three years for a short-film successor, we feel with the current situation, 2022 may best suit our needs. At RCS, we need to keep save in the pandemic, and we do have more ambitious and fresh ideas set for 2022; most of which were postponed from this year due to this virus situation. We did not and could never have predicted this shit to last so long, and since we can't predict when it end, we're doing what we can in 2021. We will try not to tease our "TGOI" sequel too much as to not get everyone too excited, but after "Project Scooby" drops, we'll tease the shit out of "Project GBO". We hope you're as excited as we are for "Project Cybercrime", and trust us when we say that, despite being another crime movie, it will be very different from "The Legend of the Diehards". However, we would like to admit about all of this that nothing shown here is final. Our filming sets, locations, and times may align to be more suited for different movies at different times, so truly anything can happen this coming yera. More updates will follow on our Instagram, but for now, we ask you all to stay safe, and have a happy holiday.
