What Does a Pikmin 3 Port Mean for Nintendo? 8/7/20 DISCLAIMER: This essay was written on August 5th right after my viewing of the “Pikmin 3 Deluxe” trailer. These were my raw, early thoughts on the game. If these change drastically, or more important news comes out about the game, I’ll post a redux discussion. The “August 7th” in the title is technically just the publishing date, but it’s usually the writing and editing day as well. Also, these are my thoughts, but out of boredom I’ve edited this essay a lot more extensively than I normally would. Mt. Joy - Rearrange Us (Review) 6/9/20 DISCLAIMER: Happy 6/9 day haha lol funny number lmao! Last Friday, on June 5th, American Indie Folk-Rock act Mt. Joy released their long-awaited sophomore LP: Rearrange Us. This album certainly contributes to another rant I’m planning about too many singles being released before albums, so I’ll discuss its eight out of thirteen singles at a different time. This album opens with the powerful and astounding ballad “Bug Eyes”. The singing and lyrics are touching and undoubtably beautiful. This, right here, is how you start a damn album. Afterwards comes the adorable little soulful groove that is the title track “Rearrange Us”. It seems to set the happy and more upbeat yet slow tone that a lot of the singles carried along with them. Afterwards comes the Jason Mraz-style interlude “Have Faith”; a cute little electric and very sweet short song. Why The July 20th Nintendo "Direct" Mini was Such a Baffling Disappointment

The Reasons We All Foolishly Hoped for Something Big on July 20th 7/21/20 At 12:00 AM on July 20th, we received a Tweet officially from Nintendo stating that there would finally be a Direct in only 10 hours. Though, they said it came with a catch, but we couldn’t grasp how big of a catch that would be until we finally saw the direct. As fans, we should not have expected anything from this because it clearly wasn’t anything big. They claimed that it would be a small presentation of a handful of games that had already been announced. Then again, because of this, we had the right to expect everything. The words “already been announced” in the minds of our wildest pipe dreams meant Metroid Prime 4, Breath of the Wild 2, and possibly Pikmin 4 or a Pikmin 3 port. They had all been announced, through teaser trailers or verbal confirmations, and we knew one of these had to be slated for a 2020 release.
