May 24th, 2020: Fanboy Roundup #1 I want to make content. I want to have an excuse to write five-paragraph essays whenever I please, but recently, there hasn't been much to write about. I look at these new songs and rumors from various artists and I want to write about all of them individually, but I can't simply because there's not enough news to cover. Hayley Williams - Pedals Of Armor (Review) DISCLAIMER: I’m not an enormous fan of Hayley Williams. I’m saying this because in the future, I plan to make album reviews many paragraphs long and go really in-depth into. Also, I’m sorry this is a little late, but there wasn’t something that I wanted to review that came out on the 15th, so I’m doing this album that I’ve already listened to. Pedals Of Armor is an album. Not a bad album by any means, but simply an album. Putting its many good qualities aside, it was an album that had such a defined style and a formula for its songs that they began to feel repetitive. Not just the songs themselves, but the album as a whole. Though, thankfully, I can't call this album all bad because it gave us many weirder and more ambitious songs in the middle of these new style of pop songs. A Premiere Review Instead of a Movie Review for "Scoob!" 5/16/20 DISCLAIMER: This is not a review. Read further to find out why. Throughout the abundance of Instagram ads discussed in the last essay, it was clear to most that the "Scoob!" movie would be premiered live on the evening of its intended release date. This did not happen. I realized I was missing the premiere at around 7:45, (the movie starting at 7), and I freaked out. I foraged through the many different websites and links this movie sent me, and after a solid ten minutes of looking, I found it. It was a live video that had supposedly been going since 7pm, but all that was displaying was a picture of the characters. Let's Talk About "Scoob! (2020)" 5/14/20 DISCLAIMER: This was written and published before the movie was released. The review will come either tomorrow night or the morning of the 16th after I get my hands on the actual movie. This essay is me discussing the trailer(s) and my hopes/expectations. "Paper Mario: The Origami King": Thoughts Upon The Reveal Trailer 5/14/20 I’ve played Paper Mario games before, but I have yet to own one. The only Nintendo system I’ve owned before my Switch was my 3DS, and when I was still buying games for that, I just bought whatever box art looked coolest. Honestly, I’d never even heard of Sticker Star back then. Now, upon getting older and realizing a few things about the Paper Mario series, I’ve been getting more and more excited for a new game. Especially because of the March rumor about most of the old 3d mainstream Mario games coming to Switch, either in remasters, remakes, ports, or just HD upscaling.  Along with this initial rumor, though, came word of a new Paper Mario game.  This really spiked hype for this rumor, of course.
